Our Story
Veylan & Crowe was established in London by two senior consultants who had grown frustrated with the volume-driven, transactional model that dominates the recruitment industry. They believed there was a better way — one built on genuine expertise, long-term thinking, and an unwavering commitment to both clients and candidates.
Over two decades, we have placed hundreds of senior professionals across some of the most demanding organisations in the world. Our reputation has been built quietly, through results and referrals — not marketing campaigns.
Today, we remain a deliberately small firm. We take on a limited number of assignments at any one time, which means every client receives the full attention of a senior consultant — not a junior team working from a brief.

Edward founded the firm after fifteen years in executive search at two of London's leading boutiques. He leads retained searches across Financial Services and Executive appointments, and has placed C-suite leaders in organisations ranging from FTSE 100 businesses to high-growth private equity-backed firms.
Charlotte Crowe
Founding Partner
Legal & Technology
Charlotte brings twenty years of specialist experience in Legal and Technology recruitment. She has built deep relationships across Magic Circle firms, in-house legal teams, and the London technology sector, and is widely regarded as one of the leading consultants in her field.
James Hartley
Senior Consultant
Marketing & Operations
James joined the firm from a global search firm where he led the Marketing practice. He advises clients on senior marketing and commercial appointments, and has a particular focus on consumer, media, and professional services businesses.
